Omar Azmi is a skilled visual designer, e-content producer, motion graphic artist with a passion for education. He holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts and a Masters Degree in Visual Effects and Animation from the Mass Communication Research Centre (MCRC) Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. He joined the Maulana Azad National Urdu University on January 16, 2018 and has been working in the capacity of a Producer at the institution's highly acclaimed Instructional Media Centre.

Omar’s expertise in creating engaging E-learning content has made him an asset to the education technology at the Centre. With his skills and dedication to creating effective E-learning content, he intends to make a positive impact on the lives of students. In his role as a producer, he is responsible for overseeing every aspect of the content creation process, from conceptualisation to delivery. He works closely with resource persons and presenters to understand their needs and objectives and then develops creative concepts that meet those needs. Omar's commitment to excellence is evident in the high-quality content that he produces. He is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in digital content creation and is always exploring new techniques and technologies. He is passionate about his work and is dedicated to producing content that is both visually stunning and engaging.

As a filmmaker whose work has been recognized at various National and International film festivals. Omar is known for his documentaries, which often incorporate stunning visual effects and graphics to tell powerful stories and give information. One of Omar's most notable achievements was winning the award for Best Visual Effects and Animation at a prestigious 24th Educational Film Festival organized by the Consortium For Educational Communication, UGC, Ministry of Education, GoI, for his documentary title ‘Al Zahrawi’. This award is a testament to Omar's creativity and technical skill, and highlights his ability to bring together different elements of filmmaking to create a truly remarkable work.

Omar is the lead producer of the much appreciated Meet The Media Veterans series launched by the Instructional Media Centre, an essential digital initiative to sensitize the audience with subject experts from the various arrays of the Media Industry such as Journalism, Archival, Cinematography, Editing, Direction and their experience and knowledge. Among various other responsibilities at the Instructional Media Centre. Omar was also deputed to teach at the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, MANUU in the year 2019-2020. He has also successfully co-ordinated and convened multiple workshops, seminars and film festivals such as the Indian Panorama Film Festival, Iranian Film Festival, 3rd MANUU Knowledge Series Lecture by Ms. Tessa Jolls. Omar has also been invited at various workshops in and around the university as a resource person to share his expertise in design, technology and e-content production.

Primarily as a visual artist, Omar possesses a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics. He has a deep understanding of color, composition, light and he uses these skills to create art that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant. He has a strong command of various digital tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, which enables him to bring his artistic vision to life. Omar has been key in the design overhaul of the productions at Instructional Media Centre, launching various programmes and events with their respective design theory and giving them their unique identity while also working on design revamp of the curriculum based programmes for better reception and understanding amongst students.

Before Joining the Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Omar started his professional career as a Graphic Designer at NDTV, one of the most prestigious news channels in India. During his time there, Omar was responsible for creating a wide range of graphics, including on-screen graphics, title sequences, and other visual elements that added depth and meaning to the news stories being presented. His designs were always thoughtful, engaging, and helped to create a sense of visual harmony on the screen. Omar was also a great team player and always willing to collaborate with others to achieve the best possible results. His positive attitude and willingness to learn and experiment with new techniques made him a valuable asset to the NDTV team.

While now, he has moulded himself to function better with technology as a motion designer. Omar's roots lie in the turfs of fine arts, his paintings and artworks have been a part of multiple exhibitions in New Delhi. Heavily inspired by the Post-Impressionist Era, especially with the works of Van Gogh, he attributes his love and appreciation for art to him. Omar is a music lover who appreciates music from all genres. However, his favorite genre is when two seemingly opposite genres, such as rock and classical music, combine to create a unique sound. He enjoys the way classical elements, such as orchestration and harmonies, can add depth and complexity to the raw energy of rock music. Omar is always on the lookout for new artists and compositions that blend different genres, and he finds that this kind of music sparks his creativity and inspires him in new ways.

Omar's skills as a visual artist and motion designer have enabled him to become a highly sought-after producer of e-content. He has a deep understanding of the digital landscape and is able to create content that resonates with his audience across various digital platforms. He is committed to excellence and is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in digital content creation. His drive to become a better professional is a testament to his love for the art and his desire to make a meaningful impact in the industry.
